Aladdin inspired !!!

I don't know how many times I've watched the film Aladdin and I must admit the thought of having a personal genee  is on top of my list.
  Come on  imagine having every wish granted from shoes ,bags ,accesories... A fashionista's dream. ..
  I wore this Aladdin inspired olive green jumpsuit and had lots of fun with it
I added a gold 3 plate neckpiece and nude belt to synche the waist (lest i fly off )
I found these amazing flats comfortable and I put all my essentials in this brown over the shoulder slouchy bag....
The earrings are an amazing flower-bomb pair that i wear religiously

This Christian Dior inspired bell dress was a rare find...

I wore it  with gold heels..

Going with the girly look i wore a gold headband and gold time piece... 

I simply love its different variations and colours..

Frugal beginnings ..Pencil skirt....

 The pencil skirt is an elegant classic that came from  frugal beginnings. 

Fabric was  so  scarce during the World War 2 era that women almost had nothing to wear.....I said ALMOST....  But thanks  be to Christian Dior who came up with fabric saving yet classy pencil skirt design in 1947.   The cut had a way of hugging a woman's body in all the right places that it became and is still a favorite of many women....

The pencil skirt is still wardrobe must-have and comes in so many variations that are Sleek, chic and so sophisticated.


I wore this dark denim pencil skirt with a white tank-top and sleeveless waistcoat...
I added a  red and gold buckled belt together with a half moon disc neck-piece .

Nude shoes and a nude time piece completed the look.....

 

 

Paper Shredder date ......

I helped out in the recycle section today.   Had no idea my look  would match the environment.

I wore distressed denim jeans and paired them with a crochet off-white crop top....

Accessories were kept minimal......

Cream flower earrings and sunglasss 

 After sorting piles of paper was done  the security at the building i work  looked "distressed" as he asked if I  was OK.

Apart from being tired i assured her i was fine 

Her concern .......She thought i fell legs first into the shredder........

Lets Play-suit.......

I wore this stripped cotton play-suit with lime green tennis flats...

You know you can never go wrong if u in-cooperate denim in any laid back casual look... 
I simply love this  semi distressed denim jacket and  I would recommend it as a basic staple to any casual wardrobe....


My  accessories include these green flower  shaped earrings, Cartier sunglasses and a Cartier time piece....
P.s  Play suits are for all ages .... Love the Pink one in Marjorie Harvey and Jenifer Lopez......

  

LBD saves the Day/Night !!!!........

When ever I travel anywhere I  always pack my (LBD) little black dress ... Its super light and comes in handy when ever i need to attend to formal engagements...
I recently traveled for a church conference  where I literary lived in jeans and T-shirts as the event was in a stadium.
There were over 20 000 people in attendance so you can imagine my shock when  I received an  invitation to meet my church President and Founders at Palazzo Hotel.

I met them in the lobby and I assumed it will be for a few minutes but they invited me and a few others to join them for dinner...

 A panic worthy moment you might assume.... YES.... 


But thanks be to God I had my trusty little black dress in my luggage..  I freshened up and slipped into my dress and put on a pair of pink pumps and Voila!!!  Elegance and grace...


 I had wore the same dress a week earlier and  had fun dressing it down...

The day look comprised of this lime green head-wrap ( a life saver when you you are having a bad hair day)

The army green jacket give the dress a more edgy look dont you think?

Evening Look
 I wore the LBD with Pink studded pumps and I had my Mustard yellow jacket  to drape over my shoulder in the event that it got nippy ....... 

PS Dinner was magical...... i had steak,veggies and mushroom sauce and the Company was Heavenly.........

Paris wishes ....Eiffel Tower dreams

If I could go any where in the World i would pick Paris in a heartbeat.
I would wear my prettiest dress and eat croissants all day.
 
I would walk around the cobbled streets of Montmartre soaking in the old Paris ...  The fragrance of flowers  from the Tuileries garden would fill the air and lead me to Wall of LOVE .

Love Love ..... I will like many who have gone before me scribble my "Ndinokuda" I love u in Shona.

 For the grand finale I would visit  the Eiffel tower 

 I  will stand there as God paints the sky paints in pale shades of pink and blues. I hear there is nothing quite like the views from the Eiffel Tower 

Today I decided to wear more PINK and a hint of Blue .... ( i know .. i wear pink a lot)
 Its just so pretty and girly ....

I wore this  pastel pink flower dress with studded pink heels 
I picked this turquoise blue neck-piece and  tinniest Eiffel tower earrings to complete look....
Don't you just love the way the Tower looks like Steel and Lace..
To recreate the ambiance of  the Eiffel tower i chose this steel blue staircase to be the center of this shoot.....

To Jump suit or Not

According to Wikipedia - A Jumpsuit refers to the functional one-piece garment used by skydivers.

In the world of fashion a Jumpsuit /Romper or Onesie is  a bold statement piece. Its either you wear it or it wears you.......

Though its a classy and functional garment  i would suggest afternoons only wear because a night on the town will mean a lot of bathroom breaks................
why ? well  you kinda have to remove the entire outfit to use the bathroom and having your riomper on a public toilet floor is a definite NO-NO
