Of fashionable lunch dates and wine

I must admit I do love finding small cafes and exploring their menus and  wine selections. Its a YES for Chez Zandi's. Its cross between rustic and modern chic. Nestled in the heart of the CBD it offers a a tranquil and fresh contrast from the hustle and bustle of the city....  

Oh so RuSty ......

Fashion forcasters predict a return of earthy tones in all their 70's nostalic glory. Browns ,camel, chocolate,olive and toffee are all in the Terrain or Earthy Tones that are on the top of the Trending colour report for 2016

I deliberately did not mention RUST  because i think it needs its own red carpet. 

 Today's blog entry explores this key colour predicted to storm the runways and streets around the world.  Rust is bold yet cozy and has a way or warming a winter/winter's day.

I paired my Khakhi 70's flair pants with and a Rust tee to channel my inner Farrah Fawcett (coolness and class)
 In keeping with the theme i wore a pair of  with a brown pair of heels.
We are still in winter so i could not leave the house without my trusted plaid jacket to complete the look


Accesories were kept to a minimum . Statement time piece,brown belt and earings

TGIF!!!!!

There aren't that many casual days in a week so when Friday comes i try to soak it in by wearing my mist comfortable shoes.
I picked up these studded pink Vans that my feet love so much after a week of heels.

I wore my skinny Jeans as an alternative to slacks or dress pants.

A boyfriend T'shirt and Print bomber jacket completed this look.

Masala Wine

There is one colour I simply cannot get enough off.  Burgundy,Ox Blood, Masala wine ,raisin,Mauve. It goes by many names but its all 1 colour.

Its dark, sultry richness complements all skin tones that even the The Pantone Color Institute named it the  Pantone color of the year 2015

In 2016 it still remains a favourate of many including myself.

I have tried many combinations but I found the monochrome look is quite ravishing .

The trick is to mix different textures of the same colour and adding complementary accessories.

I wore these Masala wine skinny jeans and a turtle neck top

Oxfords are my go to comfort shoes so i laced up my two tone brown pair and brown belt to complete the look.

Accessories were a rose gold tassel necklace, brown earrings  and powder pink feather clutch bag.

Everything is so Green ..Mint green

Mint Green is a typical summer colour but nothing should stop anyone from transitioning it into a fall/winter wardrobe.
As it starts to get nippy out I didn't want to go full-on winter wear so I opted for this light mint pullover with lace arm details.
I paired it with denim blue skinny jeans and mint flats and  voilà ...

New year's Eve with my Maker

This post is long over due....
New year's eve is a big deal for me .It is a time to celebrate the end of the year gone by and welcome what is in store in the New Year.
I am forever grateful for the friends i have made and milestones I have reached .
I am excited for this coming year ... 2016 is looking good.

I wore black and gold and stepped out to a night with my maker at church.
I wanted to end and start the year with him

I donned my trusty black leather jacket and paired it with black skinny jeans .
A gold blouse and nude strappy heels
Accessories : Gold wrist watch ,turtle neckpiece and a black clutch.
My makeup had accents of gold and a matte burgundy lip colour..

 

Aladdin inspired !!!

I don't know how many times I've watched the film Aladdin and I must admit the thought of having a personal genee  is on top of my list.
  Come on  imagine having every wish granted from shoes ,bags ,accesories... A fashionista's dream. ..
  I wore this Aladdin inspired olive green jumpsuit and had lots of fun with it
I added a gold 3 plate neckpiece and nude belt to synche the waist (lest i fly off )
I found these amazing flats comfortable and I put all my essentials in this brown over the shoulder slouchy bag....
The earrings are an amazing flower-bomb pair that i wear religiously
